spiritual & social wellness

spend time in nature

a break in nature is a great way to let our minds wander and be distracted by all the intricacies of the natural world. consider listening to the sounds of the wind on foliage, running water, insects, or just admiring the sights. remember to bring water and be careful of daylight.

sometimes we get so caught up with what we are doing we forget to catch up with our feelings & needs. take a break to do a quick check in with your senses with the 54321 grounding method. another great tool is to simply journal your immediate bodily & mental feelings to process them through writing. feel free to reflect on their sources and maybe add potential tips to reduce their impact on you.

acts of kindness

fostering your local community is a fantastic way to decompress and connect with others. everyone is looking to be treated well and kindness to others encourages them to treat others similarly! the greatest kindness we can do for ourselves is being kind to those around us.
